The boy band that we dreamed about longingly back in the 90s won the prize of Best British Group. They performed their single Kidz, which starred an army of riot police who stripped to their underwear around them

The group, now including Robbie Williams which I wasn’t sure about when he first rejoined but now I am absolutely loving him – I can’t wait to see them on tour – did anyone else manage to get tickets?

The night wasn’t just about the fab five, rapper Tinie Tempah scored a double with the breakthrough and single prizes.

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole (who looked stunning but when doesn’t she?) went home with nothing after being beaten unexpectedly to the British female solo artist prize by relative unknown Laura Marling.

Arcade Fire picked up two gongs for best international group and album.

Among those performing at the event was Rihanna, who stripped down to a leotard as she performed a medley of her hits.

All in all it was a great night! It was a tough decision what to watch last night though but the Brits won and I have My Big fat Gypsy Wedding recorded which I can’t wait to watch tonight.
