It’s been a couple of months since we’ve launched our wonderful player blog. We’ve hosted a few competitions, posted announcements, shared some silly stories. I was looking around the blog recently and noticed that this blog is missing a name. I know, a blog is a blog and a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but I think that by adding a name to this blog, it would make things a lot cozier.

This is where we need help. We need you, our wonderful community, to come up with a witty and unique name for our blog. Assist me in spicing up our little slice of the world wide web, and send me your suggestions in the comments below, or share with the community on our Facebook fan page. I’m looking forward to any and all suggestions!

Today is the day where we celebrate all women, especially those who have made contributions to society with the ideals of a more equal life for all.

Let’s all take the time today to remember the women in our lives who make a difference, and to celebrate the economic, political, and social achievements of women past, present, and future.  As a society we still have a far way to go, and it’s our wish that every day can be International Women’s Day in hopes of an equal, bright, safe, and rewarding future for all women.

A slight snag aside, our Presenting Palace Poems has come to and end and we do have a definite winner!  I can’t tell you how much fun I had reading everyone’s entries into this promotion.  There truly are some very creative and witty individuals that I’m proud to say are part of our BingoPalace community.

Feeling a little cold this January? We have another hot promotion to warm things up. Back in December we had our first treasure hunt contest which asked all of our players to help “Find Santa’s Missing Gifts”. With the cold, snow, and shovelling, we decided that it would be a great time to bring back another treasure hunt for players to have a chance to win some truly hot prizes.

No need to bundle up as we’re bringing you a “Snow Search” this weekend where you’ll be able to collect one of eight prizes! Here’s a run down of how you can participate

1. There are three hidden clues scattered on the blog and our Facebook fan page (you are a fan, right?)
2. Arrange the clues in order and enter the letters into the address bar on your browser after the blog’s domain name (http://blog.bingopalace.com/b********11)
3. If the address is correct, you will be given the secret “Snow Search” phrase
4. Enter the secret phrase as a reply to this status message after 12pm est on Sunday, Jan 16th for your chance to win

Winners will be selected in the order of their submissions. All participants can look forward to the following prizes:

• 1st place – $ 20
• 2nd – 3rd place – $ 10
• 4th – 8th – $ 5

For a total prize giveaway of $ 65!

As the Snow Search has come to and end, we’re offering a more relaxed and simple contest to keep everyone engaged and reading our newsletter.  Here’s the run down of what we’re planning.

2.  Read the newsletter that will be coming to you this Friday, January 21st.

3.  Post on our Facebook wall the secret phrase contained in the newsletter

4.  We will then have a random draw and select 5 members to receive a cool $ 5 bonus.  Not bad for just reading and copying the phrase on our Fan Page!

Our Facebook fan page has been on fire lately, and to keep with the cool and crazy contests that we’ve been having, we’re bringing “Palace Poems” for everyone to participate and collect some hot prizes.

Calling all poets and masters of the verse, this contest is for you. In a nutshell, all you have to do is head to our “Palace Poem” discussion page and add your own. It could be a poem, a sonnet, limerick, haiku, song parody…you name it; however, it must have to do with BingoPalace and bingo in general.

We really want you be creative with this one, and yes, be a little silly too! Here’s my attempt and a quick example:

“I once went to BingoPalace for Bingo
And brought my lucky pet pink flamingo
When my card had turned red
The bird looked to me and said,
“Looks like ‘winning’ is not part of our lingo”

All entries will be valid from Friday Feb 25th until Thursday March 3rd at noon est. After said time, the poem that has the most ‘likes’ will win a fantastic grand prize. Remember to get your friends in on the voting process to ensure that your poem will be crowned winner. Not wanting to leave other memorable poetic posts in the dark, we have some great prizes for our runner ups.
